Renewal
Biblical Counseling

We desire to equip the saints to discern God's will through the counsel of His Word, with the aim of glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect"
Romans 12:2 ESV

Our Approach

Biblical Counseling is a Word-centered approach to counseling believers.
Affirming the Bible's authority, inspiration, inerrancy, infallibility, and total sufficiency and trustworthiness.

  1. Gospel Centered
We recognize that all people are sinners and suffers in this fallen world, and because of that realization, we are wholly dependent on Christ's mercy in both our sin and our suffering. The answer to our sin and our suffering is Christ. One must know Christ, or better said be known by Christ, to find any hope in this fallen world.

    2. Spirit Lead
Our counseling is not dependent on any theory of change but on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is who regenerates, sanctifies, and keeps a believer in Christ. Our counseling is dependent on the Spirit to change the counselee.

    3. Christian Hedonist
Before we can deal with one's problems, we must deal with one's passions and desires. So one of our goals is to raise one's affections for Christ. "Christian Hedonism is God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him." - John Piper.

    4.  Behavioral Transformation
As sinners and sufferers in this fallen world, we take on patterns of the world, and in counseling, we identify those sinful patterns in our lives and we strive to put them off andput on Christ-likeness. We are not after behavior modification but Spiritual
    transformation.

    5. Local Commissioning

Lastly, we commission counselees back into the local church to counsel others. As believers, we are all called to build up one another in Christlikeness. Our goal in counseling isn't to just give self-awareness but to encourage an other-awerness.
